The service was very courteous and dedicated, followed by the very beautiful setting and the cozy atmosphere in the inn. Orders were taken immediately and the meal didn't take too long. The food was very good and definitely recommended. Gladly again

On the recommendation of my husband, I came to Goslar and thus to the Paulaner tavern. Very cozy from the outside and inside. The food was excellent and the staff was very nice. We would love to come back!

I was able to experience "Paulaner" for the first time on Patong / Thailand. We went there because we liked it a lot. Bavarian would soon no longer be possible. Food and service always great. On the other hand, we were very disappointed with the Paulaner in Goslar. I had the afternoon, 09/15/2020. Reserved by phone and everything worked out great. We would have liked to have a table in front of the restaurant, but everything was already full. We still had the choice between inside and the "beer garden". We chose the beer garden with great anticipation. Big final deception, there was next to nothing "Bavarian". Benches and tables with a roof, that was it. No blue and white decoration, empty flower boxes and, to make matters worse, a loud ventilation unit, probably from the kitchen. I imagine Bavarian cosiness differently. Now to the dishes: My wife had ordered bread dumplings with champions. They were watery balls with no taste. She made half of it. I have decided on "Paulan's favorite dish". Looked delicious, but the meat was way too salty. I gave a few pieces to my wife, which neutralized her bland food a bit. I'm an avid pork knuckle eater now, but what was brought to the table wasn't what I remembered as pork knuckle. But I can only judge the exterior. Very light and heavily encrusted. I preferred not to order that.

Friendly, attentive and tasty despite Covid19 hurdles. We felt very comfortable at the 7-person table that was made possible especially for us. great kitchen! ?

I can only recommend a great tavern. Eating something there is almost a must when you are in Goslar. Whether it was my knuckle or my wife's trout, everything was really good. The ambience, whether inside or in the back of the beer garden, is really cozy ?

The service was very attentive and friendly. And the food was just amazing. Although it was just a simple dish. We recommend!

DELICIOUS AND AFFORDABLE! No fried flour slices but real baked potatoes. PS: you have to be very hungry to empty your plate.

The food is acceptable and arrived quickly. I had the spinach cheese spaetzle and, as always, they tasted very good, even if the portion was a bit too small. The cellar beer is excellent.

Closed from approx 12-18, even though other people where eating and drinking at their outdoor tables, the quite rude,smoking waiters told us we couldn't get something to eat or drink...

Friendly conditions, there are 2 beer gardens, one in the back yard and one on the doorstep. Food was ok, unfortunately nothing compared to the original in Munich. But cheaper than Munich.

If you are looking for the Bavarian food (pork knuckle and apple strudal) in Göslar, you will be satisfied with the food and atmosphere here. Reservation is highly recommended to avoid disappointment during the holiday season.

Food and beer o.k., but such a waitress does not work. Lets wait for almost a quarter of an hour before she comes to our table for the first time. But stands bored for minutes in the door and plays with the waiter's phone. Every sentence of us is grudgingly commented by her, to a look that shows little contact joy. Envious we looked at the fast and nice waiters of the other tables. But the whole thing also had an advantage, you quickly got into conversation with the other unknown guests at the table - with the comment "It was the same with us".

Food was superb

Wants to be (and is) a very traditional German restaurant. The menu is a bit limited especially for sides, but surroundings are exceptional and service is very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic food for the money. Would be a 5-star review, but last time I ate there, the waiter asked for a tip and didn't say thanks when i agreed to give him one. Came off as slightly impolite.

A great restaurant to sample traditional German food at its best. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old building that is a few hundred years old which adds to the authentic atmosphere of the establishment. There are a number of local and international beers available both in bottled and keg versions. Well worth a visit.

Very nice place to seat and have a beer after walk at Old Town.

We went to this restaurant as a group of adults and children. It was the first experience of an authentic Bavarian restaurant for most of us. So some of us were surprised by the dishes and needed to clarify them with the waitress. The kids were surprised that they couldn't get chips or order friend potatoes by the side. We were told that such things were not typical of traditional Bavarian restaurants. In the end, we all ordered, after a lot of discussions. When the food arrived, it removed any doubts any of us had on the quality of the food. It was excellent and very tasty. The kids emptied their plates without fuss. A good place to taste the local cuisine.

A nice evening. We felt immediately comfortable. The service was great. The ambiance was great. The food was great. The Kaiserschmarrn was a dream!

Paulaner is the best beer for the all times

Lovely place in the old town. Typical old German house serving typical German food and good beers. They also have Oktoberfest specials in season. We went on a rainy cold night at the end of September and the place was warm, with a good atmosphere. They also have English menu, a plus for tourist.

Good German food in a splendid location in the shadow of an ancient church. We stopped for dinner on a summer evening. The setting was very evocative and service prompt and attemptive. We (party of 3) were all happy with our choice of main, and cakes were lovely.
